funny addendum
oh, i forgot a funny:
i was walking by stages yesterday and noticed their coming events billboard had been updated with the following three acts:
- keisha chante
- collective soul
- motorhead
aside from the comedy ensuing from the fact that these three couldn’t be any more different, it also acts as a further illustration of my previous theory about the relationship between acts playing in kingston, and their declining level of fame. (didn’t 2 live crew just play here again?)
god, stages is just awful for music. at least AJs had the proclaimers.
March 27th, 2005 at 10:53 pmi just linked your blog to mine.
i’ve probably been to at least ten of those shows, including have been the sound tech for the weakerthans, the dears, starling and flood (my friend manages flood), at clark, and i’ve defineetly been to a bunch more of those shows… and i just randomly found your page through audioscrobbler.
nice page, man. i went to queen’s, but moved back home.

Oh yeah? God, I barely remember that show because I had an exam at 9 am the next day, which I just didn’t study for. But it’s definetly possible. I remember meeting some people that night… I DO remember the Unicorns guy telling us we were the worst audience ever and the singer from the French Kicks taking my hat I was wearing. Which was kind of weird, because he was kind of flirty. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I heard it from the girl I was seeing at the time, that’s for sure.
Man, thats just fucked up. How does that even happen??
